This a studio that design and research on new technologies to improve the qualities and functionality of the buildings. Which is something that I am very interested right now.
They are contributing in to the creation of "active buildings", by that, I refer to a building that reacts to the physical phenomena of the environment in a mechanical way. By this approach, the building is no longer a passive-fix object, but more like an object-building that reacts and protect the people that live-works inside it.
Each part of the building system could be "smart" in the sense that they could react not just as a cover; but as systems of integrated mechanical functions that are constantly behaving according to the weather and seasonal climate changes, for example. It could behave on anything we can think of.
